Dating advice
I’m a 17F university student in Denver studying animation, currently in my second semester of college. I graduated high school a year early, I’m a straight-A student, and I study a lot. I’m bisexual and fairly social. I’m in student Orgs and public events to try to put myself out there but I’ve never really had much luck romantically.
I’ve only had one relationship, which lasted about a year during my freshman year of high school. Since then, I’ve never had a boyfriend or girlfriend, and I honestly don’t know how to tell when someone is interested in me. No guy or girl has ever openly admitted to liking me. In the past, some guys have straight-up called me ugly, even though other people say I’m not, and I’ve even been asked to model before, which just makes everything more confusing.
I don’t really understand how attraction works from other people’s perspectives, how to recognize signs of interest, or what dating scene or apps might actually work for someone like me. I’ve tried talking to people and getting to know them, but it never seems to turn into anything more than that.
I’m not sure if I’m missing social cues, doing something wrong, or if this is just normal and I’m overthinking it but I’d really appreciate advice or insight from people who’ve been in a similar situation.
