I have a theory. It may be silly, but please hear me out.

Remember how the Seer told Rumple that a boy would lead him to his son, but that boy would also be his undoing?

Well, we all know that fate cannot be avoided. Rumple was supposed to die, but then Neal decided to bring him back to life. However, this cost Neal his life, and a few episodes later, he died. In the fifth season, we learn that he has gone to a better place (Olympus, heaven).

And then we have the seventh season. At the end of the season, Rumple, Henry, Regina, and Wish Hook go to rescue Henry's wife and daughter. Rumple gives his heart to Wish Hook, killing Wish Rumple and himself. He automatically goes to heaven, where he meets Belle.

And I know you'll say: But he sacrificed himself for Wish Hook. Not for Henry. And in heaven, he met Belle. Not Neal.

1. He went to the Wish Realm for Henry's sake; if he had decided not to go there, he might not have died. But he went there for Henry's sake.

2. He did meet Belle, but Neal was there too. I don't mean in the shot, but in heaven. So they could have met there.

And that's how, in my opinion, Henry led Rumple to his son and at the same time was his downfall.
