[TotK] lore is inconsistent ?

Hey, ive just joined this subreddit so i’m sorry if this question has already been awnsered, and im nowhere near a lore expert,

but i’ve been replaying botw lately and near the zora domain on a blue tablet (from that one mission) it is said that the divine beast was named after princess ruto, who helped the hero of team to fight the calamity.

And this is not like all of the previous games pieces of equipment or gear we can find in totk or botw which we can consider as « easter eggs »,

And for me this zora tablet canonically link Oot with botw universe.

But if we take this for granted it kinda fucks up all of the totk story’s credibility with all of the inconsistencies it brings out.

So am i pulling of the wrong conclusions or is there an awnser to this lore problem ?
