Delivering a friend carte nationale and driver permit through airport

Hello everyone, I have a quick question. A friend of mine forgot [on purpose] his national ID card and driver’s licence in Morocco. He currently lives in Italy, and since I will be travelling there soon, he asked if I could bring these documents to him.

Is it legal to carry and deliver someone else’s ID documents when travelling to Italy? Thank you in advance for your help.
