Start problem

Okey so background:

2006 s1 rx8 192pk 5speed

had a accident a month ago in snow with very cold temps in that month. car did start after the accident. and after being dropped off at the garage. after a month of sitting still we got everything in but the car did not start. so upgrade the starter and put in new plug and it finally started (it did flood and we got that fix). we drove the car a bit and took it to the highway. all of the sudden it lost power and fell dead. we tried starting but agian problems. even when we let it cool.

what can this be? could it be fuel? does anyone have a similar experience? every bit of help is welcome. and yes we are also going to check compression.
