Just cannot get my Switch 2 to display 120fps, no matter what settings I tweak..

I spent over an hour troubleshooting both the Switch 2’s and my TCL Q7 (2023 model)’s settings, only to have zero success; I cannot get the fps counter to show anything other than 60fps. The game I’m trying to play in 120fps is silksong, which is definitely capable of doing so. My resolution is 1080p, the 120hz toggle is turned on, all of my tv’s settings are set, and yet it just won’t work. Is there something I’m perhaps missing?

I’m using the hdmi cable that came with the switch 2 itself, so that shouldn’t be a problem either. I’m plugged into HDM1, which supports up to 144hz/fps. Starting to think there may just be a problem with my switch 2, that I’ve had since launch day. If you have any insight as to what could be going wrong, please do let me know. Quite frustrating to not be able to play with the settings I should be able to. Thank you for your time!
