Combatting Fatigue?
How do you combat the fatigue from the Mirena IUD during the adjustment period?
I had it put in 5 days ago and normally I’d be very energetic by now (follicular phase) but I am feeling pretty beat. I’m back to working out in the mornings, and I work a desk job - which doesn’t help. I’m assuming the fatigue is due to the IUD adjusting and the hormones figuring themselves out.
I just feel really tired, and almost feel ‘flat’ with my mood which honestly isn’t the biggest bother to me as I normally deal with raging anxiety anyways so I feel like it’s helping, but I do hate feeling like I’m beginning to have a cloud come over me. I’m not sure if this is also just because I’m still dealing with minor cramps which makes me feel blah. Just not sure what to do and worried. Does this end after the 3-6 month adjustment period?
I got my IUD mainly for possible endometriosis and also PMDD so if having a flat mood during luteal is the worst thing in the world, then honestly so be it. Better than having intense anger and rage and debilitating cramps every month :)
Another side comment, has the IUD worsen tinnitus for anyone? my ears are ringing louder!!
