Could this make live rock safer to use?
I am working on starting a 20g nuvo reef tank and had an idea. Live rock is ideal for a quick cycle and jumpstarting the microbiome and biodiversity of your tank. But a lot of reefers warn against it due to hitch hiking pests. What if you were to get some smaller live rubble and put it in a very tightly woven mesh bag similar to the kind you find carbon media in? Would the small holes allow the benefitial bacteria to spread through your tank but keep all the big bad pests contained?
