do allergy shots (immunotherapy) cause you to flare?

I had asked this before but got little response.

It seems like my allergy shots are causing increased heat rate day of and for a couple days after that are just making me feel kind of useless. I'm hydrating like crazy and doing all the other things and it's just not helping.

I'd done a previous course and gotten to maintenance doses, but I was retested and got new vials a while back and so I am back on weeklies. I don't remember for how long, but it can take a while to notice patterns with everything that's going on.

Does anyone else experience this from their allergy shots? If so, how long does it last for you and is there anything that helps besides antihistamines (I'm at max dose already)?

I will take next week off and talk to my doctor the following week about proceeding more conservatively and see if that helps.
