NYC Tasting Menu for Experience
Hello everyone. My wife and I will be visiting New York again in March and I am hoping to get some recommendations for the best experience at a tasting menu. I’ve been reading through past post on here for the last couple of hours, but I haven’t seen any that are specifically taking these criteria in mind. For context, our favorite experience we have ever had was Takayama in Kyoto.
What we specifically liked:
- over 3 hours in length. We want to enjoy our evening and be entertained.
- very fun experience with a lot of interaction and getting to see the food prepared in front of us.
- many courses. Nearly 20 courses, many with multiple dishes per course. We want to experience a lot of different flavors and bites.
- very accommodating. My wife doesn’t like raw fish and we both dislike uni and they were willing to prepare a different dish for those courses for her and me.
- amazing food. The flavors stood out just as much as the interactiveness.
We enjoyed Alinea a lot too for entertainment and number of courses.
Only other caveat is she doesn’t like raw seafood. She loves Italian, French, American, etc.
Taking this into account (entertaining with many memorable courses) what would you recommend in NYC?
Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions. Really excited for this opportunity to celebrate with my wife!
