When do I know if it’s bad enough to get it removed??
Hello! For reference I am a 24F who just got their first IUD. I have been scrolling through Reddit threads which has made my anxiety sky rocket even more but I’m still trying to find the peace. I recently got my IUD the Kyleena placed this past Thursday and the insertion process was okay. For the insertion process I was prescribed two tablets to insert into my vagina to soften my cervix the night before and I also got my period the night before my insertion of the IUD. My periods for context are typically intense sometimes cramping wise but bleeding I only have it for like 3-5 days some are heavier than others. This past period (when I got it inserted) was pretty rough as far as cramps go. I also had two muscle relaxers (Tizanidine 8mg) prior to my IUD insertion and 600 mg of ibuprofen. I kinda felt the last cramp when it was inserted. I had some bleeding that Thursday with cramps that had me on bed rest lol but very light spotting on Friday with some cramping. Although what has been happening lately is I will get hit with this wave of heavy cramping pain in my lower back and my ovaries and it carries on for hours, no pain killers or muscle relaxers are doing the trick and I just deal with it. I have become nauseous and can’t eat my food from the cramping. The weirdest part is I’m not even bleeding, so it’s just these insane cramps that come in waves. I’ve also noticed that almost immediately I have this small bump acne on my forehead that I haven’t seen in years and I don’t know if it’s because of my skin reacting badly but this used to be my biggest insecurity and I even went on accutane twice for it. It showed up almost immediately after getting my IUD so I know it’s related. Prior to getting my IUD inserted I wasn’t on birth control because I took myself off because I wasn’t sure the kind I was on was even helping my cramps because it was still pretty bad then and I used Jazmiel. I decided to get an IUD because I want to be safe when I’m dating and the state of our country kind of scared me but now I feel like I’ve made a mistake. I don’t know if I’m being a baby and that these cramps are just normal side effects or not but this makes it really hard on me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
