Lab with known ingestion of foreign objects
My lab has eaten things since he was a puppy, as labs do. I’ve trained him, crated him, box muzzle (he was in the back of the car, got the muzzle off, ate the muzzle, then resumed eating the car), dog daycare (he got 2 dog bites- not his fault on camera just bad luck - and a lot of Giardia from eating poop), and I don’t remember what else. A few days ago he ate a couple things and got a $12,000 obstruction and surgery. Fortunately he’s okay. When he was a puppy I asked a vet tech about pet insurance and they told me not to bother because he’s a lab. When I read the fine print of all of the pet insurance it seems like the vet tech was right. He’s been to the vet for ingestion so many times that I guess I’m lucky he hasn’t needed surgery in four years. Is there any pet insurance that I’m missing?
