Finally got an answer!

2 and a half years later and I finally know which parent I inherited my factor 2 from!

It’s a bit of a relief to finally know where it came from and to make sure they can now take some preventative measures themselves.

My mom has never had a blood clot as far as we know, and I really hope it stays that way! It was a bit of an uphill battle to get her tested, and the only reason we actually got this answer was due to a doctor office mess up that worked in our favor lol. They sent out her bloodwork without having insurance approval, which she was ultimately denied, but since they incorrectly sent it out they are paying the bill for it. So that’s a good outcome if there’s ever gonna be a mess up!

I’m just glad we got the answer because my dad passed away 7 years ago so this was the only way I’d ever find out.
