"Honestly Jessica, he thought just because he had money I was going to fuck him," Chloe complained, ice cubes rumbling loudly as she brought the straw of her iced latte to her lips. The condensation from the plastic cup making her fingers cold as she spilled the tea about another failed date. "All he did was keep telling me how pretty I was. Yawn."

Jessica snorted, rolling her eyes. "Like you don't get that everyday. But at least he's not... I don't know, 40-something and divorced?"

A wicked grin spread across Chloe's face. It was too easy. "What? You mean like Adam?" she said, deliberately raising her voice a little, enjoying the way Jessica flinched.

"Chloe, seriously!" Jessica hissed, but she was smiling too. She couldn't help it.

"I'm just being honest!" Chloe declared, leaning her hip against the edge of her desk, confident in her office siren attire. She let her eyes drift to the corner office at the end of the hall. "I mean, look, he's got that silver fox thing going on, sure. But can you actually imagine? In bed?"

Chloe smirked, unaware Adam was behind her. "He'd pop in 12 pumps."

"Glad to see I'm paying the both of you to sit around and gossip," Adam jabbed sarcastically, his voice sending Chloe spinning around, her face red with embarrassment.

"We're just messing around. You know how it is. Girl talk," Chloe said, trying for a tone of breezy dismissal. She glanced at Jessica for backup while noticing two envelopes in Adam's hand. "Are those our Christmas bonuses?"

"WERE your Christmas bonuses," Adam countered, already ripping up the envelopes. "20 pumps. If I can't last 20 pumps I'll double the amount I was going to give both of you. If I can, you both get nothing."

Chloe and Jessica froze mid-giggle, their eyes wide, unable to speak for a few seconds. "Oh, come on, Adam, it was a fucking joke!" Chloe snapped as she straightened up from leaning against her desk.

"24 pumps and triple the amount," Jessica piped before catching a look from Chloe. "Girl I got bills. Plus, you're always telling me how tight the guys you sleep with say you are."

"Fine, 24 pumps, triple the original amount, and Jessica has to be there to count," Chloe declared with a flash of competitive pique.

The trio walked back to Adam's office, closing the door behind them.
