Jetty fishing rod/reel recommendations

im putting together a jetty rig to fish for ling cod and rockfish, hoping it can be a cross over for bigger salmon drift fishing too. it would be great if it could be used for surf fishing too but I get that that might be a stretch in versatility

currently im looking at a 9' Okuma SST MH rod with a 4000-5000 size reel (maybe like a daiwa fuego or shimano nacsi).

other options available used near me are:

- okuma sst 10'6" H or 9'9" H

- shimano clarus 9'6" MH with symetre 3000fj

am I right to prioritize the 9' foot out of the above? are there others I've should keep an eye out for?
