Crouch button not working on steam deck (n sane trilogy)

I’m playing the n.sane trilogy on my steam deck for the first time, everything works as it should but for some reason the crouch function doesn’t work. It should be the B button but doesn’t respond at all. I’ve no idea why and I can’t find anything online about it.

Has anyone else who is pays the trilogy on the steam deck had the same issue? And if so please tell me how to fix this it’s driving me mad 😭
