I got a wireless N Adapter, yet it doesnt work.

Im using an xbox 360 slim, even with the adapter plugged in it gets to internet and then says “Theres a problem with your connection.” It told me that it detected a wireless adapter, so i know its not using the onboard internet thing. This is really annoying and all i wanna do is play multiplayer.
