Tips to keep home safe while on extended travel

Hi homeowners,

We’ll be gone from our home for 4 months in extended travel. I’m wondering what are some things we should do or keep in mind to ensure our home stays safe, free from damage, and appears still “lived in”?

Some things my husband suggested below— but wondering if there’s anything else we haven’t thought of? Thanks in advance.

• Turn off water
• USPS Mail hold or forward
• Hire a gardener so yard looks maintained
• We have exterior security cameras already up
