13 Feb 2026 - Read Together #15 Little Miss Stoneybrook...and Dawn

We've a scary one for this Friday 13th-child beauty pageants!

Little Miss Stoneybrook, a beauty pageant for little girls, is coming up soon, and Mrs Pike hires Dawn, of all people, to help Vanessa, Margo, and Claire prepare, especially for the talent section. Soon, lots of sitters have charges entering, and they all want to win the contest. Will the competition tear the club apart, and who will walk away with the Little Miss Stoneybrook crown?

In the meantime, Dawn has to look out for Jeff after school, answer the phone to Mrs Besser, and conference with her when Jeff is in trouble for punching another student. He's increasingly unhappy in connecticut, and now he wants to go home-will he move back to California, for good? Dawn's family will be torn clean in two!
