My Top 3 best games for NES

1. The Guardian Legend - Has great graphics for it time and one of my favorite soundtracks. Top down shooter with a shoot-em. Large map with tons of minibosses. Large number of weapons always loved using grenades and the circle one. Made you ration chips until you got more because you could weaken your weapons. Shoot-em side always was cool to me seeing the background and how it slowly built up. You could save via password. Also if you didnt know if you type in all Upper case J intge password and run it. It puts you off map in location you have no keys for you have maybe 3 solids hits before you die and all your weapons are maxed and you can run out of chips. Also decent story most of the dialogue was at the beginning and end but still liked tge story.

2. The Magic of Scheherazade - Another hybrid type game. Combined action combat with tuen base conbat. Had some of my favorite characters and story line. It was a time traveling game before Chrono Trigger even was made. Had tons of towns and a large world to just explore. Loved the dungeons and mazes. You could plant some in the past and use it later. As a kid I always liked trying to win on the gambling and also aggravating the merchants by asking for a discount continously.

3. Blaster Master - Great graphics and loved tge soundtrack. Had a cool story was a fun to travel in the tank and blow stuff up then jump out and you have this character in space suit and it switches to a a top down. You explore find new stuff to open up different areas. I was never able to fully beat this one.

The NES had a lot of great titles but these you got multiple game types and moneys worth. We didn’t have a lot of money so games were hard to come by. Everyone once in awhile ai could borrow a friends game from school.

But I just wanted to see what other think are the best and if any fun stories or memories come with them.
