What's the deal with Striker Lance (and SIlverwind)?

I found myself struggling against Silverwind Nargacuga with these notable areas: Not being able to sidestep first thing (which ends up with me turning THEN dodging INTO attacks), When Silverwind goes into a frenzy and shoots wind at you while keeping VERY far away, and finally, what the hell should I know?

I'm using the Gale Stinger at Level 4/5 and i'm HR 5. I wanna be able to do Silverwind solo but he's just such a pain. Hope yall can give input in simplest of terms. (Also I have over 500 lance hunts in rise).
