Please tell me I’m not the only one

So I was today years old when I had someone, who knows nothing about snakes, tell me, someone who has done years of research into snakes(especially the ones I want to keep) and now keeps them, that I know nothing about snakes because I think hognoses and garters are venomous. I was floored and I can honestly understand on the garter one, but a hognose? I will say I am far from an expert on these amazing creatures and I’m still new to the hobby, but one of the first things I found out was about hognoses and that they’re rear-fanged venomous. I legit didn’t know how to react other than just try to correct them. Am I the only one that’s come across this? Or is this more common than I realized? I legit thought it was common knowledge about hognoses.
