Do any of you know of Fantasy series with a strong Emphasis between the conflict of Inborn magic vs Learned or discovered magic?

Essentially I was kinda hoping for a series with a well crafted magic system that traditionally is an inborn trait decided at birth, but recently or the main cast or characters learn magic can be learned or discovered. I like the idea of magic being discovered as exciting to the characters. Almost like how Indiana Jones loves history discovering different magics is the characters passion.

Maybe some themes of classism, or the transition from magic as a social or religious thing to an art form.

Bonus points if neither magic renders the other obsolete but the power becomes more balanced.
