As an autistic person…

Mel makes me feel SO seen 😭

I have never watched such a relatable representation of autism in the medical field— and as a behavioral health worker & pre-nursing girlie I am so so grateful for her quirks and mannerisms and mildly awkward social interactions lol. I see myself in her 🥹 I just started watching the show in Jan and caught up within a week!

The first episode of S1 I was overjoyed to finally have someone like me, even more so a female neurodiverse character!!

With the popularity of the show I hope it can allow medical providers to be more accepting of neurodiverse coworkers and maybe think, “she kind of reminds me of that one doctor from the Pitt!”

My end goal is PMHNP and I feel even more inspired to continue my journey knowing there are more avenues for providers like myself to help others feel a little less alone :”)
