Line of duty clarification

Hey everyone, I have a “line of duty” question. I was in the Marine Corps reserves and involved in a car accident while traveling from Camp Pendleton to my home of record directly after a drill weekend. No strange route or anything like that. I have a lay statement from one of my Marines that drove past me right after the accident occurred along with my w-2 showing home of record, drill schedule for that weekend, google maps showing route and insurance claim report. All to show the event actually happened.

It doesn’t seem that the VA is accepting this as a service connected event but I was under the impression that as a reservist you are covered to and from drill. Has anyone had experience with this that can shed some light? Thanks in advance.
