Got chased on the Go Train by two (likely) intoxicated people. Any way I could've reacted differently?

This evening I was on the Go Train and the incident happened a few stops past Union. I was waiting to get off the train and I heard these two women loudly singing some song, and it sounded like they were doing karaoke I guess. Then they began to scream and their singing got even more high pitched and louder which made me as well as everyone else in the car wonder what tf was going on. Anyways, I was waiting for the door to open while also looking in their direction, and they made eye contact with me and ran towards me, and chasing me, to the point where I had to run up the stairs to the nearest car. Thankfully they didn't go up to that car but I was genuinely worried for a sec. that they were going to assault me. Still pretty shook by this given it's the first time I've ever experienced something like this. But is there anything else I could've done or nah
