Which primer reduces oiliness?

Oil control feels like one of those things every brand promises, but real world wear tests always tell a different story. Some mattifying primers seem great for the first couple of hours, then everything starts breaking apart or looking heavy, so it’s tricky figuring out what truly balances shine without killing the finish.

Lately I’ve been trying to dial in a routine that keeps my T zone from turning into a mirror by midday, especially in warmer weather. Blotting helps but I’d rather start with a better base so my foundation lasts longer and looks smoother.

For those with oily or combo skin, what type of primer made the biggest difference for you?
Do you find pore blurring formulas work better than gripping ones for shine control?
