medikinet xl and heavy bleeding (periods)??

I was wondering if anyone has also had the side effect of taking medikinet xl and having a more heavy period than usual, and if that is normal?

It’s day 5 of my cycle where I would expect bleeding to be slowing down but instead it’s about as heavy as in day 1/2.
