Battlefield 6 is fun, but…

Discussion

The direction this game has taken is misguided. Let me explain: it’s clear that all the attention and resources are focused on the Redsec mode. However, most players don’t enjoy that mode and tend to avoid it. At first, it was interesting to have a decent and well produced battle royale within Battlefield, but over time it lost its appeal for those of us who actually purchased and play the game.

Redsec is free. I didn’t pay for my money to be invested in a free mode I don’t play. I paid for a campaign and a multiplayer experience, one that I expected would receive care and attention, with at least a new map pack every three months and some new weapons. But that hasn’t been the case.

I understand the need for microtransactions, character skins, and weapon packs; the developers need revenue beyond the initial sale to maintain servers, pay employees, and continue producing content. But that content should be directed toward multiplayer: new maps, new weapons, or at the very least, maps reused from the campaign. The community doesn’t mind if they’re recycled—what matters is having something new to play.
