What do you think about the direction of travel?
I will admit I’ve only been playing for a few weeks having followed the game for many years. The attention to detail, the immersive and interactive world is probably my number one attraction to the project. After playing for a few weeks now I was correct and it really is the immersive world and the way my character interacts with it that has kept me playing despite the many bugs and flaws.
One thing I’ve noticed nore recently though in terms of development is a potential change in direction, dare I say if, a dumbimg down of systems, that CIG seem to keen to implement going. Is this part of a bigger strategy to appeal to the masses of younger gamers out there? Does it really matter? Am I overthinking this?
im talking about, for example:
log out / respawn anywhere - beds or habs, apartments even become set dressing rather than functional.
Will a comprehensive insurance system mean in no loss and no real danger to the game reducing immersion!
proximity looting. will we walk into a room press “ i “ and just loot everything in there? What happened to exporwtion, fining that hidden box under a desk? What about the storage containers, drawers that we interact with? set dressing again?
what do you guys think? are there anymore features planned to increase convenience and decrease immersion and interaction?
