Help me find a hotel with a great balcony (March 3–5)

As in title.

Hi Vancouver folks, looking for hotel recommendations with one specific “must-have”: a nice balcony.

I just booked a flight to meet someone I’m seeing (early days, low pressure, lots of good vibes). They’ve been incredibly chill about everything, and the only thing they’ve asked for is… a balcony.

Here’s the twist: I realized I have miles, so my flight is basically covered (under $100 USD). So I’d love to spoil them a bit and put the money into a room that feels safe, special, and memorable for two nights (March 3–5).

What I’m hoping for:

• A real balcony (not just a tiny ledge, and ideally with space to sit)
• High-rise feel preferred
• Great view (river/water/city lights — open to suggestions)
• Walkable to good food / fun neighborhoods
• Budget: up to about $1,000 total for the two nights (flexible if it’s truly worth it)

If you have specific hotels (or even specific room types/floors) that deliver on the balcony + view experience, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!
