Should I just shoot?

So I was thinking about asking a girl out on valentines on thursday so she had a few days to like take it in if she said yes. But her friend said that she had "plans" not with another guy but that she had "plans". Really unspecific? Yeah I know. So I said alright I guess I wont ask then, but now its valentines day and I am thinking about just saying fuck it and ask her herself. Only issue is that it is currently 9 am on valentines day, am I too late?
