OOS SDSU vs other west coast schools

hi! i’m accepted to SDSU out of state for fall 2026, and i’m trying to decide if it would be a good fit for me. the location is one of the big draws for me, coming from oregon, but idk if the big party scene may distract me from studies. i’m a serious student but well rounded and want to have a good time, but i don’t want to lose myself in a chaotic social life. i’ve also heard SDSU can be clique-y? idk id love feedback on that too.

for reference, my top schools now are UO, SDSU, U of Arizona, and UW (possibly). I’m also waiting to hear back from cal poly but don’t know if that would be a good fit for my major.

also, i’m accepted at SDSU for biology, although my path has kind of changed and i’m planning on majoring in neuroscience now. could i change my major to this at some point? does SDSU have a good neuroscience/psych program? my plan now is to go to grad school following undergrad to become a neuropsychologist.
