[TOMT] Survival Book I read in 2017 or 2018 (no later than that)

I read this book in middle school (2017 or 2018 and was not any later than that I know this for sure), so it wasn’t like a super high reading level but was surprisingly dark for a middle schooler to read. It was about this girl who I believe may have been Mexican which was important to the plot. There was a family gathering or a birthday party that got invaded by these officers and her whole family was killed off other than her little brother and sister. They end up fleeing into the woods and survive by hiding in the trees. At one point one of her younger siblings is killed off (maybe the little sister). I don’t believe it was a super long book. I think the title may have had trees in it but I am not 100% sure.
