Why did Malr1ine buy Basher on Sand King?

Game 4 of the Liquid vs Falcons series yesterday.

I have never seen the item on this hero so I'm a bit puzzled to why he bought it.

Does Basher work with Stinger and Aghs Epicenter?

Was it just for having a Bkb piercing stun? They had treant ult already and he didn't upgrade it to abyssal but went for refresher instead, so i doubt it.

What other reasons can you think of?
