What can we expect on a collective level when it comes to Saturn in Aries?

First and foremost, it is crucial to note that according to a concept called essential dignitydiginty in astrology, Saturn is in its “fall” while in the zodiac sign of Aries. Since Saturn is exalted—or operates at its heightened vibration—in Libra, now that our Great Taskmaster is in Aries, it is essentially “frustrated” and not comfortable here. This can cause friction, as Saturn—who likes to go slowly and take its time—must take on the attributes of the fiery, impulsive Aries ram.

All of the themes that Aries rules will encounter a need for perseverance and may experience a sense of hardship on the collective scale, but also in our lives: Aries rules self-promotion, our face and head, our independence and individuality, as well as innate desires, passions, and plans. Aries also aligns with war, anger, and conquest. It is likely that we will find that we individually face a reckoning around how we have pursued these areas of our lives in the past three decades—because Saturn takes roughly this amount of time to go around the sun.

As for global affairs, there will be karmic decisions and situations around Aries-ruled industries and projects“being the first to market,” “being the one breaking ground,” and beyond.

Certain industries on a global level may see more focus—or challenges, as well: sports, gambling, theme parks, military and weapons, metal, cars, facial beauty products and reconstruction, anything facial-oriented, meat, and anything entrepreneurial or thrill seeking. Self-help and wellness companies that focus on “being a leader” and “stepping into your power” will face judgement.

Since Aries is also so very tied to “ego,”we will have to face healthy versus unhealthy egos in ourselves and others.

Last, but certainly not least, is that because Aries can focus on conquest, war, and conflict, karmic lessons in these arenas may also occur—so it is best to channel the opposite energies, those of Libra: justice, fairness, equality, truth, partnership, and love.
