happy valentine's, to those who celebrate. what are we doing today?

gf and i going to a silent book club later, then getting dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date (today doubles as a celebration of our anniversary a week ago!) I got her a potted rosebush we can put in the garden and some champagne chocolates. I've always been indifferent to valentine's day in past relationships - I know it's supposed to be the femme holy day, but it's always felt very performative/commercial to me. but now, seeing how happy it makes her feels very genuine. 💖
