After hearing horror stories of how bad Season 4 is, and how different and "off" it is without Harmon, the beginning of it was fucking hysterical

I'm watching through the series for the first time, and I've heard a LOT about how bad Season 4 is, how it isn't real Community, how different it is, how strangely it's shot compared to previous seasons...

So to begin it, and see it shot like a classic, low-budget sitcom, with canned laugh tracks and shitty jokes, made me think "Holy shit. I knew it was going to be bad, but did they actually downgrade it THIS much?"

...And then that turned out to be a purposeful mocking of sitcom stereotypes, and the show returned to (mostly) normality. It was genuinely like the show somehow, retroactively knew the complaints people had with it and made a joke out of it. Obviously that's not actually the case, but it was still fucking funny as hell
