Are there mods that expand story and increase drop?

Hello. I would like to play this game again after 20 years. However i would like to also speed up gearing and leveling so it is not so grindy and to avoid fighting with garbage equipment. I would also need to experience some new themes at the same time in order to not get the same thing all over again.

Is there an overhaul mod? Set of mods? Fanmade story? Experience and difficulty multiplayer?
