Question for someone new - Just starting out.

My aim is to develop a bot that could do trading for me. My strategy is to go through:

1. Convex optimization.

2. Linear and Non linear optmization.

3. Rust.

4. ML maths.

5. Reinforcement learning and Bayesian Time series.

I'm already a data scientist but I am developing interest in trading. You guys are mature, what advice do you want to give me?

also please tell me all these bots that are paid for, are these good ones, i mean if you have develop a bot that gives you profit why would give it way, hear me out on this one: your strategy is using your bot (smart) to wedge against weaker ones (humans vs paid bots), would you ever sell your bot/code?

When you would not do it with a bad, like when would trade by yourself?
