Do you call your Tahoe (or any full size SUV) a truck or a car?

It's built on a truck platform so referring to it as a truck makes sense but also doesn't feel right to me because trucks should have an open bed.

Car isn't correct either but I like it as kind of a generic term for most road vehicles.

And I know referring to it as an SUV would be the correct way but that often sounds wrong to me... "Hold on, I need to out to my SUV and grab my sunglasses."
