There’s nothing wrong with “nepo babies”
Yeah, I said it. Why does everyone get so irate about this kind of thing? Whitney Houston (yes, she a “nepo baby”) sums it up perfectly: “it gets your foot in the door but the rest is up to you”. It’s not like someone is like “ daddy, for my birthday can I have a #1 single/ staring role in a blockbuster movie”. What’s wrong with a parent giving their child a job if they’re in the position to? Also, it only ever seems to be an “issue” in entertainment. If it a restaurant or idk plumbing company most people *prefer* it to be family owned and operated. There’s nothing wrong with them and honestly don’t deserve to get the hate they do. Period.
EDIT: Realized “nepo baby” is generally reserved for people who *only* got there because of their family. Yeah, those guys suck. Thought nepo baby was a blanket term for *anyone* with familial connections.
