Colossus won't mine

So my Colossus wouldn't mine. Had the right equipment installed and both the terrain modifier and mining retacals come up but pressing the mining key does nothing. I thought maybe I have to rebuilt it. Disasembled it and now it won't let me re-build one and the expedition is soft locked. What the heck happened? (ThIs is on Steam)
