Picked up the keys and the place is filthy

I picked up the keys to my new house yesterday and the place is really dirty. They had a dog which I knew about but there is dog hair everywhere, the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned for weeks if not months (shower screen is opaque with limescale), the fridge is full of food debris and stains, and the oven is pretty bad. None of the holes have been filled in the walls either. The patio door is covered in dog spit. I didn’t take photos of it all as I was frantically cleaning it before moving my stuff in, should I tell my solicitor or the estate agent about it?

And why are people so disgusting?!
