AI my thoughts

AI created music has gotten a lot of shit lately..Especially for the ignorant reddit crowd who feel AI somehow takes away from the pure creative process. I remember this exact conversation being had but with the use of music sampling. Artists taking samples from existing music and using it to create their own music. Vanilla Ice comes to mind when even MTV mocked his usage of a short sample pulled from 'Under Pressure'. This was a genius track, and his sampling fit perfectly to the music he created.

Dont bs me. Some DJs release entire albums based off their found sampling of artists they discovered on Vinyl. DJ shadow is an example.

I too get the argument in way. I understand the reasoning and issues behind it.. But it's usually based on ignorance and doubt the naysayers have any clue as to how AI works. Its not as simple as typing a few words and presto AI creates the next big hit. I've never used AI to create an entire song and promoted it. I've used AI to help me create a particular sound or style. I then mix parts of it into other beats and rythms ive created. I spend more time deleting shit that Creating music i want to hear. And all I want to do is make, listen to and promote what I like. WHAT I LIKE not you, me. I don't make music for you. And fame isnt even part of the conversation. I want to make good music. So listen and enjoy and pull that AI stick out of your ass.
