Making a Minecraft mod need some information.

I am making a Minecraft mod and I want to add marble, but I have no clue as to where it's found naturally. i also would like suggestions on what stones to add and how they could be used, also what kind of stone appear near underwater vents since the mod has multiple dimensions and one dimension is completely under water with a biome that has those underwater vents.
