Will a semi hollow be better at feedback than a solid body?

Question

I can't afford a true hollow body. Do y'all think a semi-hollow will get me partly there for the feedback at low volumes thing? Am currently playing a strat. I wish I could afford a doc-style guitar, but my budget is a lot closer to an Epiphone Dot, Ibanez AS, Squire Starcaster, ect. I feel like my choices at this point are guitars with a center block vs cheap big box jazz guitars with minimal fret access. In short, on stage at moderate volumes, and compared to a thinline hollow like a Doc, is a semi-hollow gonna be closer to a solid body or closer to a hollow body in terms of how willing it is to go into sympathetic feedback? I'm gassing for a guitar that will do the thing but can't decide between a big box jazzer and a center block semi. Thanks for any insights!
