Finally moved from (Rpi4 -> Mini PC N100 16GB RAM) - No noticeable performance boost

Personal Setup

I have been running HA on Rpi4 for couple of years, sporting an SD Card but was always afraid the SD card would fail any day, well it didn't. I had a Mini PC but I always thought it would be waste of resources to throw HA OS only on it. I don't want to use Proxmox I wanted to keep things plain and simple.

I've been considering this migration for a while, went with baremetal HAOS on the Mini PC, I was so excited to see a huge performance boost and to my astonishment I could hardly notice any! My main motivation was to see if my Ring MQTT cameras would stream faster and open the stream quicker. Nothing. Same experience sadly. I guess only local LAN RTSP feeds probably would run better on MiniPC but I don't have any local cameras yet.

So turns out the Rpi4 wasn't that bad afterall, actually pretty nice with the exception of the SSD or lack thereof.

Anyway, now I have a good problem to have, lots of RAM, so thinking local Ollama but I'm open to suggestions on how to fill up my new HA box.
