Parking tips for Valentines Day w/ The Sadies, Jenny Don't & The Spurs at Tractor Tavern (Seattle 02/14)

figured i would drop some info about parking for the sadies and jenny dont at tractor tavern on 02/14. ballard is already a mess to park in on a normal weekend but valentine-s day makes it ten times worse since every restaurant on ballard ave will be slammed with people out for dinner.

honestly your best bet is to use Prked. it lets you rent out driveways or private garages from people who live right in the neighborhood so you can actually get a spot right next to the venue. it is way cheaper than the few public lots around and lets you skip the circling traffic and the headache of back-in parking. it is just a short walk and much less stressful than fighting for a meter during a holiday rush.

if you decide to roll the dice on street parking just know that ballard ave has back-in angle parking and it will be completely full by 6 pm. shilshole ave nw is usually the best backup plan for street parking because there are more spots along the industrial side but you might have to walk five or ten minutes to get to the tavern. be careful with the load zones and the hospital-only spots near swedish ballard because they are very strict about towing. there is a small paid lot on 22nd ave nw right near the venue but it fills up fast with the dinner crowd heading to places like stoneburner or bastille. the swedish hospital parking garage on tallman ave nw is another option if you do not mind paying a bit more for a garage spot. traffic coming across the ballard bridge will be a nightmare around 7 pm and 8 pm on 02/14 so leave way earlier than you think you need to. hope this helps you have a good show.
