Sorry, this is gonna be a long read but I've got a story about what happened and how it ended with Temu dropping SwiftX as a carrier. I wouldn't have taken it there if I hadn't seen so many rightfully pissed off people. The endless complaints and trash reviews are what set a fire under my axx, but it’s the 20%-$20 capped coupon as “compensation” that pushed me over the edge. 💀

\*If you want to skip the details there's a TLDR at the bottom about what happened with 💩X. Cross-posted.\*

I live in Salem MA and work overnight in data analysis and systems maintenance monitoring vulnerabilities. I'm in the city not the suburbs so I'm used to how delivery works. I’ve dealt with porch pirates before so I explicitly told them to deliver to my door. Swift X had other plans and dumped my stuff at the snowy sidewalk. When I tried to fix it I realized the entire state was geo-blocked from reporting issues. It's wild work to have your headquarters in Boston and manage to geo-block 2 million people in your own backyard from contacting support. 🤦🏻‍♀️

At first the Tier 1 CSR gave me the classic runaround. They tried to tell me they've got zero responsibility once it hits the carrier and that it's between me and 💩X. I wasn't having it after catching them in a deterministic workflow. I’d tracked the handoff to the hub at 1045 PM and knew Step B had to happen at 615 AM. Since all previous packages followed the same framework, I knew they're running on a strict logistics pattern. Their "we don't know what happened" excuse fell apart, as the data showed the system worked perfectly until the carrier treated my sidewalk like a loading dock. 📦🚶🏻‍♀️

I had to explain the reality of "Last Mile" logistics in an urban area where a single family home easily has 6+ units and a sidewalk drop is just a donation to the street. I warned them I'd go to corporate and I don't make idle threats. I've done this before and as stated, I warned them of this. I’m no Karen, but I’ll take on a pro-bono job just to prove a point; even if it sinks a contract. Too many issues were ignored and left unresolved by SwiftX. Checks and balances.

Once I started documenting the UI loops and IVR timeouts with screen recordings the tone shifted fast. Suddenly, there was tonal shift in the CSR/script reader who was unfamiliar with the term “company culture” on to someone who spoke fluent Geek. They realized I saw the "pipes" of their business were leaking and were able to authorize a full refund before I even got home to check my porch. Spoilers: it was stolen!🚫📦

Within hours, Massachusetts was added to the drop-down list of East Coast states followed by SwiftX’s contract getting hit with the"🖕🏻you button” a few days later. Although not before they tried to thank me by offering a 20% $20 capped coupon. 😆 It's an effective marketing tactic, but not for someone who just had their package stolen, lost 48hrs of time, and donated labor by compiling forensic evidence their TACT missed. I save you millions, stabilize your trust equity; and you give me a sales pitch. Diabolical!! 😅😭

I've got no interest in a pat on the back or circle jerking myself in a mirror (not that it'd get me far 🚺) but I wanted my stuff delivered and found a massive hole in their system while chasing it. If the help center actually loads for you now, that's why. I hope whichever carrier they pivot to actually does their job, but mostly that we all experience less stress moving forward. I’ve included a screenshot of them promising the fix, and to their credit, they actually followed through on the technical repairs. A 20%-$20 coupon after lost time and free labor shows they need to work on customer relations and retention. Compensation should match severity of oversight. Even a $20 credit alongside a 20% coupon with no cap would’ve sufficed. Of all the inconveniences the capped coupon offended me the most lol.

✅ TLDR ✅

I was forced to perform a pro bono audit of Temu’s system failures and proved their carrier was a massive financial liability. They've officially pulled the kill switch on the Swift X contract globally and finally patched the support glitches so people can actually get help.
